Members of the Coalition of Independents led by Lincoln Bain delivered a request for a commission of inquiry to be held on immigration to the office of the Governor General on Tuesday.

Bain spoke to reporters outside of the Governor General’s office saying, “we are hoping that justice will reign.  We are also adding His Majesty to this information, we’re writing this information to him and sending evidence to the King himself and we are hoping that justice prevails.  This is not against any individual.  This is not an attack against Keith Bell but if something is going wrong in a ministry you must resign and remove yourself or be terminated.  If they’re taking the matter seriously there would have been a termination or resignation already.  They do not take this matter seriously.”

Bain and members of the Coalition protested at the Prime Minister’s Office in July calling for the removal of the Hon. Keith Bell as the minister responsible for immigration.
