Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander recently gave his views on the proposed parole system for offenders at the Bahamas Department of Corrections.
Fernander said, “I love the parole and I love the support for our partners abroad but when that is set up we have to be able to view that very carefully and every hands have to be on deck in respect to the law enforcement end.”
The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services has held a series of public meeting about the proposed Conditional Release of Offenders Bill that if passed will bring about a new parole system for prison inmates.
