COVID 19 cases are on the rise on the island of Grand Bahama as eleven new cases have been reported in the past two weeks and one man has died of the disease.
Minister of Health and Wellness, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville believes the strain of COVID from the United States has made its way to The Bahamas. He said, “coming out of the Christmas holidays, a lot of people traveled abroad and were exposed and so there’s no question that the new variant is in the country. But there’s no need to panic the Ministry of Health is on top of it.”
