Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander appeared at a press briefing at the Office of the Prime Minister on Thursday where he gave details of the country’s latest homicide.
According to Fernander, the body of a man was discovered on the side of the road by residents in the area of Oxford Avenue and Cowpen Road. “We don’t have an identification on this individual at this time but we know its a male appear to be in his late twenties maybe early thirties, have dreadlocks. We’re appealing to members of the public who may have some loved one missing to please come into any police station to give whatever information.”
The Commissioner said that police suspect that the man’s body was dumped where it was found. He said, “we suspect he was shot in a vehicle and we thrown from that vehicle after he was shot. We have officers on the ground as we speak canvassing the area, communicating with persons living in that area and also with a view of trying to collect any footage from maybe private home or business establishment and to check out CCTV cameras that are placed in that area.”
