Dept. of Labour and Fox Hill Festival Committee to hold Job Fair on Saturday

Director of Labour Mr. Robert Farquharson announced that the Ministry of Labour & Immigration in conjunction with the Department of Labour and the Fox Hill Festival Committee will hold a job fair on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Fox Hill Community Center, Romer Street and Fox Hill Road.

The announcement came during a press conference at the ministry’s head office.  Mr. Farquharson stated the job fair is in keeping with the government’s commitment to develop partnerships with community organizations in reducing the level of unemployment in the country.

He said:“twenty-five companies have confirmed attendance at the job fair and are seeking to employ persons.  These companies include:
• Norwegian Cruise Lines
• Four Seasons Resort
• MSC Cruise Lines
• John Bull
• Warwick Hotel

“All jobseekers attending the job fair are reminded to come dressed for success and to bring their resumes, NIB Cards, police certificates and references.  Jobseekers are also reminded that they can pre-register for the job fair by scanning the QR code found on both the Department of Labour’s Facebook page and the Department’s Portal, which can be accessed via the URL,

“The Department of Labour strongly encourages jobseekers in the eastern district of New Providence to attend the job fair.  In addition, a special invitation is also extended to all persons seeking employment opportunities throughout the country.  Jobseekers who may require assistance in dressing for success are asked to contact any of the Department of Labour’s Sub-Offices or to call 302-2550 for additional information.”
