DHL Global Forwarding, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, in partnership with FOWLCO Maritime & Project Services, proudly announces the official opening of its new facility located on Queen’s Highway in Freeport, Grand Bahama.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., marking a major
milestone in the continued expansion and modernization of logistics services in the Northern Bahamas.
The event will bring together executives from DHL’s corporate leadership team alongside FOWLCO
President, Glennett Fowler to commemorate the strategic partnership and shared investment in the future of Grand Bahama’s logistics sector.
More than the opening of a new facility, this expansion represents the integration of DHL’s global logistics
network with FOWLCO’s established expertise in maritime operations, project logistics, brokerage,
warehousing, trucking, and specialized support services throughout The Bahamas.
FOWLCO Maritime & Project Services is a leading Bahamian provider of international and domestic
maritime and logistics solutions. Headquartered in Freeport, the company delivers a comprehensive range of services, including cargo and vessel clearance, drydock support, brokerage, freight forwarding, warehousing, trucking logistics, and complex project management.
The relocation to the FOWLCO complex on Queen’s Highway reflects a strategic alignment with evolving
regional and global supply chain demands. As international trade routes continue to expand, Freeport
remains a critical logistics gateway due to its close proximity to North American markets and its reputation as a premier transshipment hub in the Caribbean.
“This partnership reflects a shared vision for operational excellence and long-term growth,” said Terryck
Torres, Logistics Operations Manager at FOWLCO Maritime & Project Services. “By bringing DHL’s global logistics capabilities into our Freeport operations, we are strengthening the standard of logistics
services available in Grand Bahama and reinforcing the island’s position as a regional logistics powerhouse.”
The grand opening ceremony will feature remarks from corporate leadership representing both organizations, highlighting the strategic importance of the Freeport market and the long-term opportunities for growth and development within the region. A networking reception will follow the formal proceedings.
