The year-round three-weekly American Eagle visits to picturesque Bimini makes American the single US carrier with non-stop service to the island — flight duration is a mere 18 minutes. The inaugural flight featured Valentine’s Day verve and celebration. Declaring it a game-changer for Bimini, Deputy Prime Minister Cooper said it not only enhances accessibility between the island and major US cities, it also signals a new phase of growth for Bimini’s economy.
American Airlines Managing Director of Operations for Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and Central America, Jose Maria Giraldo said the launch of the airline’s service to Bimini — comprising the seventh destination in The Bahamas — it affirms American’s long-term commitment to the market.
