Officials of the Disaster Reconstruction Authority (DRA) and the new Member of Parliament for West Grand Bahama and Bimini, the Hon. Kingsley Smith inspected houses under repair in the Eight Mile Rock area on Monday.
Smith told reporters, “today is a follow up to show The Bahamas that we are doing what we promised to do.”
DRA Executive Chairman, Alex Storr said, “all the residents are happy that now when it rains they don’t have to worry, they don’t have to grab pots and pans and they are in much better conditions than they were several weeks ago.”
According to Storr almost one hundred and fifty homes are currently being repaired on the islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco.
