While many families took to the Family Islands for the Easter holiday weekend, laughter and cheer filled the air in Golden Isles this Easter Monday, as families gathered for a vibrant celebration hosted by their Member of Parliament, Hon. Vaughn P. Miller. The event, held in the heart of the constituency at Coral Harbor Community Park, welcomed children and parents who chose to spend the holiday weekend close to home.
In a show of support and camaraderie, Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. I. Chester Cooper, made a special appearance, standing in solidarity with his parliamentary colleague to celebrate with the Golden Isles community. Also in attendance were mothers, fathers, children, branch members and supporters.
The atmosphere was lively and festive. Children enjoyed face painting, bounced gleefully on giant balloon balls, and indulged in Easter treats such as corn dogs, cotton candy, hot dogs, ice cream, and soft drinks. A bouncing castle added to the thrill of the day, while the DJ kept spirits high with a wide variety of good, down home music.
The highlight of the afternoon came as children age five and under were gifted Easter baskets, personally handed out by Minister Miller. The little ones beamed with excitement, and families seized the moment for a special photo opportunity with their representative.
It was a day filled with community spirit, laughter, and love—a day of fun and fellowship, a celebration that truly reflected the joy of Easter in Golden Isles.
