The new Minister of Housing and Urban Renewal, the Hon. Keith Bell and Minister of State Lisa Rahming led a delegation to Grand Bahama to tour housing projects on the island, one of which was Garden Villas.
The Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey accompanied her cabinet colleagues on the tour. She spoke to ZNS News while touring Garden Villas. She said, “we are now in the Garden Villas area that requires numerous issues to be addressed one of them is housing. The Hon. Keith Bell has made it a priority to focus on this area as one of the initial projects that we’ll undertake on this island.”
Minister Moxey further stated, “we’ve had meetings this morning with the Grand Bahama Port Authority also with the Grand Bahama Development Company. We’ve also had tours oof various facilities that will help us to carry through some of these projects that we want to do. But I’m just excited that we will be begin to see action because there’s so much people have been going through. And so we have been working hand in hand, that’s the Ministry for Grand Bahama, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Renewal to ensure that we not only bring relief but that we revitalize these communities.”
