A man was shot and killed on Ludfoot Drive on the island of Grand Bahama on Monday. According to police the deceased was involved in an argument with another man which escalated into a physical altercation. The man then produced a weapon and shot the victim.
Officer In Charge of the Grand Bahama Criminal Investigation Department, Superintendent Nicholas Johnson was on the scene where he provided details of the incident. He said, “a team of officers along with EMS responded to the scene where on arrival at Ludfoot Drive they we directed to the rear of an apartment complex where the body of a man was seen lying on the ground.”
According to Johnson the body was examined by EMS personnel and no signs of life were found. “At this point we have an idea who this male is. However, his identity will be held until the notification of next of kin,” he said.
A man was arrested in connection with the murder on Tuesday. This incident is the first murder on the island of Grand Bahama for 2025.
