Family, friends and wellwishers turned out to cheer on their favourite nominee as the stage was set for the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture’s Grand Bahama Youth Awards ceremony at Jubilee Cathedral on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The 140 honourees awarded were chosen out of nearly 300 entries for 2025 during a night of dancing, singing, poetry and more.
The Medal Ceremony was hosted by the Ministry’s Youth Division under the theme, “Youth Voices Unlocked” and highlighted the many talented and passionate youth from throughout Grand Bahama in a myriad of categories — from Entrepreneurship to Education, Arts and Culture, Leadership, Sports and Volunteerism.
Awards were also given out for youth and rising stars who have paved the way in Religion, Governance, Environment, Youth Ally, Humanitarian and the Organization of the Year Award.
A special tribute was given to Bishop Simeon Outten for his impact on the youth of the nation.
The Grand Bahama winners travel to New Providence today, October 21, 2025 to receive their award at the ceremony at Government House and the opportunity to win the overall National Youth Award.
