A young female lost her life in a car accident that occurred on East Sunrise Highway on the island of Grand Bahama on Saturday, June 27th.
Officer in Charge of the Traffic Division, Superintendent Christopher Farquharson provided details of the incident from the scene. He said, “a vehicle was traveling west on East Sunrise Highway when it lost control overturned and collided into a lamp pole. The driver of this vehicle received serious injuries about the body. She was taken to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.”
Superintendent Farquharson said police suspect that speed was a factor in the accident. He appealed to motorists to drive with due care and attention, stay within the speed limit and always wear a seat beat.
