A gala was held on Saturday at the Bahamar Resort to honour local government professionals and family island administrators

Minister of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs, the Hon. Clay Sweeting addressed attendees saying, “this is a good time to be a family islander. This is a good time to be in local government. you can see that our government is intentional about ensuring that our family islands have major investments both private and public. These investments create opportunities for increased participation of local government and family island administrators. Additionally my parliamentary colleagues are working in conjunction with the ministry because Bahamians at large will take benefit from the partnerships forged across ministries.”
