The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister were in Grand Bahama recently for the opening of the Ministry for Grand Bahama’s Collab Center. While speaking to attendees at the event and to reporters the government officials foreshadowed major projects for the island.

The Hon. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation excitedly told Grand Bahamians, “when we break ground on the Grand Bahama International Airport in the first quarter of 2023 that many of these beautiful people from beautiful Grand Bahama will be working on that project.”

Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis told reporters on the sidelines of the event, “the new hospital we should be breaking ground in the new year. The Deputy Prime Minister, as he indicated, is well advanced in identifying the partner for the redevelopment of the airport and there are some other initiatives that’s on the drawing board that we cannot discuss at this time.”
