The body of a man, 67, was found floating in waters near Prince George Wharf in downtown Nassau on Wednesday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Dellareece Ferguson was on the scene and gave details of the discovery to members of the media. “With the help of our partners from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force we were able to retrieve the body of a black male. He was brought to this area. EMS personnel visited the scene and determined that that he was lifeless. It appears as if he’s a Bahamian but once our investigations are concluded that will be determined and the next of kin will be advised,” Ferguson said.
