The Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation recognised Ms. Janet Mennella, a 93-year-old visitor from Bridgewaters, New York, for her unwavering loyalty to The Bahamas as she celebrated her 41st visit to the destination.
Ms. Mennella has travelled to The Bahamas each year since 1983 and has been a timeshare owner at Paradise Island Beach Club since 1984. Her deep connection tothe country stems from the warmth and hospitality of the Bahamian people, thefriendships she has forged over the years, and the exceptional service she receives from the staff at Paradise Island Beach Club.
During a special visitor relations ceremony, Ms. Mennella was presented with a commemorative plaque in recognition of her 41 years of annual visits to The Bahamas. The event was attended by tourism representatives who expressed their gratitude for her longstanding commitment to The Bahamas. The Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, said: “Ms. Mennella’s love for our country and its people is truly inspiring. Her unwavering loyalty reflects the genuine connections that our visitors build with The Bahamas. We are grateful for her continued visits and look forward to welcoming her for many more years to come.”

Over the four decades of visits Ms. Mennella has embraced the vibrant experiences The Bahamas has to offer, including swimming with the pigs and participating in dolphin encounters. She remains enthusiastic about future visits and continues to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of The Islands of The Bahamas.
