The Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey recently gave an update on the International Bazaar in Freeport, Grand Bahama.
Moxey commented on speculation that the government plans to acquire the property. “It’s something that I’m passionate about, ensuring that we get down during this term. And so we’ve been speaking to the owners of the Bazaar with a view of doing something there but we’ll see how that works out. Definitely we’re looking at the Bazaar, we’re also looking at the Harcourt properties and ensuring that the road between the Bazaar and the Princess property is reopened.”
The Minister previously announced plans for the creation of an African-Caribbean marketplace on the island of Grand Bahama in June of this year.
