To the ‘Earth Day’ 2023 theme, “Invest in our Planet Earth,” — on Saturday, April 22, 2023, Mrs. Ann Marie Davis, of the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Minister, and the Hon. Lisa Rahming, Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development, and delegation, attended the 10th Annual Cat Island United Earth Day Festival at Cat Island Cultural Heritage Site. Mrs. Davis also planted two Breadfruit trees in observance of the worldwide efforto to protect the planet and its resources. Mrs. Kate Williamson, the Island Administrator, Mrs. Ethel Turner, President of Cat Island United, Mrs. Davis and delegation toured the informative exhibits at the event. Cat Island United is a Bahamian non-profit organization, run totally by volunteers. The main objective is to promote and develop projects to improve and sustain the health and future of Cat Island.
