As part of the ongoing observance of National Family Week 2025, couples from across New Providence gathered at Living Waters Kingdom Ministries on Sunday evening for a heartfelt Marriage and Recommitment Service under the theme:b “Honouring the Covenant. Strengthening the Family.”
Hosted by the Ministry of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Bahamas Christian Council, the service featured reflections from widowers, newlyweds, and longtime couples. Speakers offered spiritual and practical insights on the keys to lasting love—including support, purpose, and laying strong foundations.
The evening culminated with blessings for all and special presentations honouring the longest-married couple and the newest newlyweds.
National Family Week continues through July 26. Don’t miss the grand finale—the 2nd Annual Family Fun Day this Saturday at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium! All are invited to come out with their families from 10am to 5pm. Bring your whole crew—church groups, coworkers, youth teams, or just your crew from the block—and enjoy a full day of games, races, food, music, and prizes. Entry is free. Come out and enjoy as we celebrate family bonds in our community.
