Newly appointed Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) Chief Executive Officer Gravette Brown paid a courtesy call on the Presidents and Executives of the Bahamas Communications and Public Officers Union (BCPOU) and the Bahamas Communications and Public Managers Union (BCPMU) last week as one of her first priorities in office.
Brown has already begun a company-wide listening tour and will meet with colleagues across The Bahamas, including in the Family Islands. The discussions will focus on employee concerns, suggested solutions and what teams need to deliver more reliable service and better customer support.
“It starts with me taking the time to listen to our colleagues and to the concerns our customers have raised,” Brown said. “I recognize that there is more work to do to deliver the reliable service and support our customers expect and deserve. Building on the work already underway takes a collective effort, it starts with us, supporting our people and keeping the needs of our customers at the centre of that work.”
Through the listening tour, Brown aims to hear directly from colleagues with a focus on better supporting employees and improving the experience customers receive throughout The Bahamas.
