After a two year absence the New Year’s day Junkanoo Parade made a post pandemic comeback to downtown Nassau.
Thousands of people attended the parade. Among them was Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis who spoke to ZNS News from the sidelines of the parade offering his best wishes to Bahamians. “I wish them all a very productive and healthy new year and just work and partner with me as we move to create more opportunities for Bahamian empowerment, identifying create initiatives to lower the cost of living, ensure that Bahamians are able to have access to affordable homes. Those are some of my priorities this given year and to see how we can alleviate some of the burdens the continues to plague our people.”
