Executive Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB), Picewell Forbes along with the Board of Directors announced the appointment of Veteran Journalist, Opal Roach as Acting General Manager of the BCB on Thursday.
Forbes spoke highly of Roach who previously served as Deputy General Manager of News and Digital Media. He said, “she has been a stickler for detail, structured, organized and consistent. A good steward, sober and mature. One with good leadership qualities.”
Roach responded to the appointment saying she is ready to take the Corporation to a new level. Gesturing toward current General Manager, Clint Watson Roach said, “I have some big shoes to fill but I’m ready for the task. It’s a team effort and we all will work together. We all are professionals. We all know what we have to do. We have a lot of work ahead and I call on you to continue to support me as we as we all lead this great corporation to higher heights.”
Ms. Roach ended her remarks by saying she will continue to put her best foot forward.
