A man was shot and killed on Cascarilla Street in Pinewood Gardens on Wednesday.
Officer In Charge of the Criminal Investigations Department Chief Superintendent Michael Johnson was on the scene of the incident and updated members of the media. He said, “a male was walking in this area when the occupants of a small silver Japanese vehicle pulled along side him. One male exited that vehicle and opened fire on the victim shooting him multiple times about the body.”
The Chief Superintendent also spoke to public safety in the wake of the release of a US travel advisory to its citizens due to crime in The Bahamas. “Normally when you see incidents like that its persons that know each other and not necessarily the other way. Persons need to know how to resolve their conflicts.”
Johnson also appealed to members of the community for information about persons possessing firearms.
