The Progressive Liberal Party held its first rally on the island of Bimini ahead of the West Grand Bahama and Bimini by-election over the weekend where they presented their candidate, Kingsley Smith.

Smith addressed the crowd saying, “leadership isn’t about having deep pockets, its about having a deep commitment, vision and a strategy. It’s about rolling up your sleeves, understanding that needs and crafting a clear plan of action. The people of West Grand Bahama and Bimini deserve more than just words. They deserve actionable plans. We’re here to deliver real solutions, not empty rhetoric.”

Also addressing the event was Prime Minister and Party Leader, the Hon. Philip Davis. “Our Progressive Liberal Party offers Kingsley Smith to you, the good people of Bimini to complete Obie’s mission. We’re asking you to pass the baton to Kingsley to finish what Obie started. Kingsley didn’t wake up one morning and decided all of a sudden that he cared about the people of West Grand Bahama, he’s one of you. He’s a boy from Bootle Bay but he also has roots in Bimini and he cares about Bimini as well,” Davis said.

The by-election for the West Grand Bahama and Bimini constituency is scheduled for Wednesday November 22nd.
