The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP), the Hon. Fred Mitchell expressed his confidence in the party’s candidate for the West Grand Bahama and Bimini by-election, Kingsley Smith.
Mitchell said, “a lot of work has been done by the Progressive Liberal Party under its former representative, the Hon. Obie Wilchcombe, my good friend and colleague, and we want to see this work continue and we got about three years left in the term. The Prime Minister has a lot of ambitious plans for what happens in Grand Bahama. It needs a good representative with high energy and fresh ideas to be able to carry out that work.”
The PLP will will launch its campaign for the West Grand Bahama and Bimini by-election with a church service on Wednesday October 25th. “The Progressive Liberal Party’s Leader will come and introduce the candidate and commend him to the people of West Grand Bahama and similarly there will be an exercise on Saturday in Bimini,” Mitchell said.
