PM Davis Opens Babe Ruth Caribbean Championship & Invitationals

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance the Hon. Philip Davis joined Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Mario Bowleg’s representative and Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and Technical & Vocational Training the Hon. Zane Lightbourne, and Caribbean Commissioner Greg Burrows, Sr., as local speakers bringing remarks to open the Babe Ruth Caribbean Championship & Invitationals, at the Andre Rodgers National Baseball Stadium, on July 20, 2023.  Prime Minister Davis also threw out the first pitch.  Among those present for the opening included Former Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis, a number of Members of Parliament, national and international stakeholders, and fans.  After the Official Opening, Team Bahamas took to the field and won against Team USA with a score 5-4.  Scores of international athletes were invited to participate, July 20-24, at the Andre Rodgers Stadium and the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.
