The government signed a $30 million loan agreement with Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on Tuesday aimed at strengthening the blue economy.
At the signing ceremony held at the Office of the Prime Minister Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis was asked about the impact of this new agreement on the redevelopment of the Grand Lucayan Hotel. He said, ” we’ve gotten updates and yes part of this loan will be able to fund one or two entrepreneurs who may want to open their own little business when that development is up and going. The timeline given…because of the components…part of the components should be up and going by January of next year.”
The government signed an agreement with Concord Wilshire for the redevelopment of the Grand Lucayan Hotel and adjoining properties in May of this year.
