After being briefed on the termination of twenty Bahamians from the Freeport Container Port in Grand Bahama Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis intervened to bring about the reversal of that decision.
Mr. Davis gave comment to ZNS News on the issue stating, “it was brought to my attention yesterday that the Container Port laid off about 20-25 persons throughout the system. For me, that was not anything I could contemplate at this time particularly what is on the horizon for Grand Bahama so I intervened with the owners today and they have reversed it and those persons should be back to work.”
