Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander gave an update on open homicide investigations since the beginning of the year at a press conference held on Tuesday at police headquarters.
Fernander spoke about the arrest of the suspect in the murder of Jason Lamm that occurred on Parkgate and Village Roads. “When he was arrested, he was taken home and his house was searched. It was at this time that detective realized he was being monitored. His monitor was taken off and he had it resting in a box in his room and he is on bail for murder.”
The Commissioner added,” we had him do a demo on how he got his monitoring off and we recorded it and I have a meeting now with the company so that they can view that device now to strengthen that to ensure that it don’t happen again.
Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis was also in attendance.
