Police on Grand Bahama are investigating the discovery of a body on the eastern end of the island. Officers in McLean’s Town were alerted by workers who found the body inside a body bag.
Grand Bahama Press Liaison Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Stephen Rolle said, “the police received information from workers in the area who were clearing down some of the service road to make a pathway to the beach area and upon doing so they came across a body bag that they suspect to have human remains. As a result, the officers from the McLean’s Town police station proceeded to the mentioned track road where they was pointed out a white body bag in the eastern area of Grand Bahama.”
As to what is suspected by police to have happened Mr. Rolle said, “at this point police are still doing some investigation and once more information becomes available the police will update you further. This matter now remains under active investigation and we’re appealing to anybody who have any information as to this incident to please contact the police at 911 or 919.”
