Minister of State for the Public Service, the Hon. Pia Glover Rolle was in attendance at an orientation seminar for the public service professional engagement program in Grand Bahama. The seminar is geared towards new hires in the public service.

Minister Glover-Rolle told participants, “I want you to understand that when you come into this program you’re going to be placed based on either your skill set, your qualifications or your interests. The goal is at the end of the fifty two weeks you should have been functioning in a capacity that you understand, the you’re learning, that you feel comfortable with, that you can do for another few years with out feeling like ‘oh Lord I ain feel like going to this job’, something that you can feel passionate about. And as you get into the career path were gonna train you.”

Glover-Rolle also congratulated participants saying, “I wanted to make an effort to be her today so that I can congratulate you, first of all, so that I could thank you for wanting to be a part of the public service, so that I can give you my confidence and also share with you my contact so that you can understand that we have an open door policy.”
