Minister of Health and Wellness, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville provided an update on the completion of construction work ongoing at the morgue at the Rand Memorial Hospital in the House of Assembly last week.
Dr. Darville told Parliamentarians, “the supplier sent the morgue freezers that were bigger than was allocated for. There was a back and forth for them to take the loss, they conceded and we found an individual who was able to customize it for us.”
According to the Minister, work is now moving forward to complete the morgue. He said, “I’m pleased to report that the two freezers are already installed and we are moving expeditiously to complete that morgue facility and to complete the services for our pathology department at the Rand Memorial Hospital.”
Dr. Darville said Grand Bahama residents could rest assured that the project will be completed in the shortest period of time.
