Meet Jerome Strachan, a veteran educator and father of six. Strachan has been teaching physical education for twenty eight years and says besides his wife his children are his greatest blessing.
Strachan speaks to his experiences as a father. “Watching them from being helpless individuals to now, you know, they’re adults and they’re doing wonderful in life, that excites me most.”
Mr. Strachan whose son Michael is a professional football player had his own plans to play the sport. He says, “although it didn’t happen for me, you know, going all the way to the NFL. The fact that he has gotten there I get to relive it. I most thrilled about that.”
Strachan says that he believes fathers need to model a life of character to children. He also said that church attendance and living by the laws of the Lord builds his family’s bond.
