The Salvation Army held its annual Christmas luncheon on Tuesday. Persons received their meals, groceries and vouchers in a drive though format after being verified.
Salvation Army Divisional Commander Roodolph Mayo was at the event. He said, “when many other people who are fortunate can have choices and what they want to eat this Christmas or what do I shop for this Christmas and you have people that is wondering where my meal is coming from this Christmas. And it is with this in mind share those tables and those families by giving them the opportunity of having that luxury and sitting down around that table.”
Mayo said the initiative will also serve persons in Grand Bahama and Eleuthera.
