Sandals held a two day sales summit at its Emerald Bay resort that concluded over the weekend with remarks from the Minister of Tourism, Investment and Aviation, the Hon. Chester Cooper.

He told those in attendance, “2022 has been a significant year for us, everything is up. Airlift’s up, arrivals are up, Jeremy Mutton tells me that the average daily rates are up, the occupancy is up. When we look at quarter four of 2022 and we compare against 2019 again everything’s up.”

Mr. Cooper went on to outline government’s plans to further expand the tourism industry through more airlift and new airports around the country. “Our numbers next year are going to be 20% higher than 2019. Sandals is helping me because they’re contributing towards the $6 billion of new investment that we’re going to have in our tourism product this year, 2023.”

The summit was attended by 110 Sandals sale managers.
