Last night, we once again received reports of multiple shooting incidents in our nation’s capital.
We are particularly saddened by the news that a four year old is a victim of senseless violence. We have had three consecutive days of fatal gun violence.
We cannot accept this level of violence as a new normal in our Bahamaland. As we march toward our 50th anniversary as an independent nation, we must work together to make our communities safe. We must all seek to interrupt this wave of violence.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families impacted by violence. May the souls of all those slain in these brutal incidents and the souls of the dearly departed Rest In Peace.
