Police are investigating the stabbing of two male students in an altercation at the John Chan Academy on Grand Bahama on Tuesday.
Police Press Liaison Officer, Superintendent Stephen Rolle provided ZNS News with details of the incident. He said, “the police in Grand Bahama received a report of a stabbing incident that occurred at one of the private institutions… The police responded and upon arrival we received information that there was a large fight on that premises.”
Police have one person in custody and are searching for two others. Rolle said, “the young male in custody at this time, he is known to the police and he’ll be questioned as to any involvement that he may have had in this incident.”
According to Rolle one of the victims sustained injuries to the head and the other to the mouth. Both victims were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital for treatment. It is suspected that this stabbing is connected to another incident that occurred at another institution.
