Former senator and trade unionist Jennifer Issacs Dotson recently gave her views on the state of labour in the country.

She told ZNS News, “it comes to having the tripartite arrangement truly being done in the country.  And again, for all governments you have to understand you have to consult when it comes to certain things. And if you have grievances you must sit down and talk about it and try to come closer together through discussion, through communication.  No matter how you feel you have to see both sides and hopefully there’s a third party that can actually bring the parties closer together which is the tripartite arrangement that I spoke about.  But we must be able to resolve our differences, employers must be willing to sit down with employees. You have to have a relationship particularly if you work together.  And you must respect each other that’s very, very important in this whole process as well.”
