A State-Recognized Memorial Service was held for the late Rev. Dr. Charles Wellington Saunders, CM, CBE, JP at Salem Union Baptist Church, Taylor Street, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation the Hon. Chester Cooper delivered remarks at the service, which was attended by a number of government officials. Among them were the Hon Fred Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service; Jack Thompson, Permanent Secretary to the Governor General; and Dr. R. Kenneth Romer, Deputy Director General, MOTIA.
