Minister of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs and Member of Parliament for Central and South Eleuthera, the Hon. Clay Sweeting addressed the Eleuthera Business Outlook event held in Rock Sound Eleuthera last week.
While delivering his remarks Minister Sweeting announced plans for the National Seahorse Park. He said, “I don’t know if people know but this is the largest concentration of seahorses, not in The Bahamas, not in the Caribbean, but in the world. So this will help to tie, not just our environment aspect together, not just our tourism element, but it will help to tie in the farmers because we want to put a farmer’s market to ensure that everybody are able to take advantage of these types of opportunities. So that is one thing I’m excited about and next year when I come I hope to say that we’ve been to the National Seahorse Park at Sweetings Pond.”
