Atlantis Stalls Opening

The Atlantis Resort will delay it's opening until the 30th of July. Prime Minister, the Most Honorable Dr. Hubert Minnis made the announcement in Parliament this afternoon after speaking with resort executives.

Immediate Past President of the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hotel Operations at Atlantis, Stuart Bowe said there is a “very good plan,” to make this happen.

Tourism Phased Reopening

Tourism officials are taking a phased approach to reopening that crucial sector of the economy. While the prime minister has given the go ahead for commercial flights to begin July 1, the plan is for the country’s borders to do a test run two weeks earlier.
