Travel health visa demand grows


The Bahamas continues to a surge in persons seeking travel health visas in order to enter the country, as more and more people get the COVID-19 vaccination and feel safer to travel.

Tourism Minister, the Hon. Dionisio D’aguilar says that’s good news for our number one industry and he notes that the entire process is going smoothly.

“Most of our foreign visitors are coming from the united states, in excess of ninety percent and most of them have a card from the CDC which shows type of vaccine and days in which the does were apply.

“It’s fairly straightforward for us to see when vaccine given, what type, we only accept AstraZeneca, Pfziser and J and J.

“We’ve seen an absolute explosion in the number of people who are applying” he said.
