The Minister of Transport and Housing gave an update on an ongoing investigation into a taxi driver that allegedly abandoned tourists who had paid for a full day of service. He allegedly also took some of their belongings. A female visitor took to social media to recount what she and her companions experienced while in the capital.

The Hon. Jobeth Coleby Davis told reporters, “there wasn’t an official complaint, I understand, lodged as yet with the actually authorities. I don’t know if they’ve advanced it further, they’re still investigating it. But from the road traffic standpoint, the tribunal, I think, suspended the license because there were some other things that were raised during his conversation with the acting controller that advise us that maybe he overcrowded as well.”
