The Bahamas Culture and Couture Fashion Show 2022

Mrs. Ann Marie Davis, of the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Minister, joined officers and staff of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, and the general public, at the Department of Culture’s “The Bahamas Culture and Couture Fashion Show 2022”, held on the front lawn of the Ivy Dumont Building, on University Boulevard, on July 22, 2022. The event showcased original pieces by more than a dozen notable Bahamian fashion designers and up-and-coming BTVI students, as well as musical performances, and fire dancers. There were also vendors selling Bahamian food and goods.

Mrs. Davis also took time out to view the Junkanoo-inspired art that was a part of the recently launched “Rush Collection”. Among the senior senior Government officials and officers present from the Ministry included Under Secretary Montez Williams; Director of Culture Dereka Deleveaux-Grant; Director of Sports Timothy Munnings; Head of the Division of Youth Sandena Neely; Assistant Director of Culture Portia Sands; Senior Cultural Affairs Officer Sonovia Pierre; and the show’s coordinator Administrative Associate Anja Bowe.
