Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis commented on the timeline for the deployment of officers of Royal Bahamas Defence Force to Haiti while attending a ribbon cutting ceremony for the reopening of the British Colonial Hotel.
Davis told reporters, “I’m convening my security council within the next day or two to discuss these issues and when we are ready we’ll be making a statement.”
The Bahamas has committed to sending 150 officers to Haiti as part of a peacekeeping mission.
