A date has yet to be announced for the upcoming West Grand Bahama and Bimini by-election. However, voter registration has begun and is said to be increasing.

Administrator for West Grand Bahama, Leonard Dames Jr. updated ZNS News on Monday on voter registration in the area. He said, “registration, I must say it was progressing very well. It has picked up in that up to today we have about one hundred and sixteen new persons who registered and about fifty persons who would have transferred for various reasons.”

Dames Jr. went further stating that the persons coming in to register seem excited about the upcoming election.

As to what happened next Dames says the register has to be made current. “And then they would also have to do the packing of the boxes so that they can be dispatched at a time when time for the election,” Dames Jr. said.
