Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Munroe visited Grand Bahama on Tuesday where he spoke to reporters about plans for its renovation.
Munroe said, “the station in West End has been damaged beyond repair. When Commissioner Paul Rolle came over with me shortly after my appointment, he showed it to me. It’s been condemned by the Ministry of Works, steps have been put in place to have it demolished.”
The Minister also spoke about plans for a new police station in West End. “Somebody was suggesting that that is still the police station. When the small building behind it is housing them. So Minister Wilchcombe was pressing to have it demolished, rebuilt, that’s very far advanced in terms of that demolition, rebuilding.”
