17 Foreign Nationals Received from USCG

On Wednesday, July 12, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) turned over a group of migrants to Immigration officials at Prince George Wharf, New Providence. The group consisted of two (2) Brazilian females, one (1) Brazilian male, four (4) Ecuadorean females, eight (8) Ecuadorean males, one (1) Jamaican male, and one (1) Mexican male.

All migrants were transported to the Carmichael Road Detention Center, where they await deportation to their homelands. The Department is working with local agencies on the island to ensure health and safety protocols are followed.

The public is reminded that the Department is committed to executing our mandate to ensure compliance with the Statue Laws of our country.
