Today marks a defining moment in the rebirth of Grand Bahama.
I am honored to celebrate a pivotal milestone in the economic revitalization of the island we all love. As Minister for Grand Bahama, I proudly witnessed the signing of the Heads of Agreement for the sale and redevelopment of the Grand Lucayan Resort to Ancient Waters Bahamas Limited, wholly owned by Concord Wilshire Capital, LLC. Concord Wilshire is widely known for stellar and award-winning developments.
This is a pivotal, long-awaited and promised step forward for Grand Bahama Island that will breathe new life into the island.
I encourage all residents to take full advantage of the opportunities this new chapter presents.
For us in Grand Bahama, this is about reimagining the future of Grand Bahama with our people at the heart of every opportunity.
This achievement is the result of tireless collaboration between government agencies, international partners, and most importantly, the people of Grand Bahama. It is a clear signal to the world that Grand Bahama is open for business, ready for growth, and on a clear path to transformation.
As Minister for Grand Bahama, I remain fully committed to ensuring that this development is one that truly reflects the hopes and aspirations of our people – through job creation, capacity building, and inclusive participation.
The people of Grand Bahama will move forward united and confident, embracing this new chapter of progress with determination and pride.
